Women & Money: Big Wins Take Time to Create!
Did you wake up this morning with a burning desire to get your life on track? Maybe that’s a bit too aggressive. Perhaps you’d just like a little extra time in your life to do the things you love?
Women & Money are an interesting marriage. You want more money, but often you don’t have the time to dedicate to working ON your business versus IN your business! The challenge is: BIG WINS take time to create, so at some point you know you are going to have to carve out more space in order to create more abundance.
When I started my company, I had a few scheduling problems.
In the beginning I was working a corporate job so my time was limited.I sporadically worked on attracting more clients so that I could get more sales doing what I loved – COACHING!
Until I made the choice to really take my mission seriously and give up my J.O.B., I struggled with trying to do them both. I knew that if something didn’t change, my dream would be gone forever.
So I did what many crazy dreamers would do—quit without a plan!
Although you’ll never hear me say that a plan is BAD NEWS, because it’s not, there was a certain kind of closure to not having a back door that helped me to be successful.
Look back in your life to a time when you made a BIG choice:
- Having a baby
- Getting married
- Quitting a job or
- Buying a puppy!
Many times you don’t have a plan, you have a FEELING. That intuition can’t be ignored, but you can support its growth by scheduling your time better!
Time-Saving Tips to Support Your Dream Life!
#1 Choose 5 things that you will complete this week!
Write five items that you want to complete this week and post them to your bathroom mirror. As you complete them, check them off. Feel free to add some personal things like going to the gym or spending an hour reading your book every night before bed.
#2 Create “No Work Zone Days” in your week!
Saturday and Sunday are that for me. Feel free to make these days during the week. It’s up to you to create the life that you want, so start with this.
#3 Schedule appointment times in the afternoons (NOT MORNINGS)
This will allow you to work on your business. We just shifted to this model and I’m still testing it out. I’ll get back to you on if the experts on time management were right, or you can just try it too!
#4 Creation Time
The last week of every month is my creation time or my rest time. I’ve found that as the rest of my colleagues are struggling with trying to keep up, my company is easily running the race. We have space in our calendar to be flexible to what WE need as business women to live a happier life.
Moving Forward:
After hearing all of that, what will you implement today to build a conscious business that takes care of your heart and your bank balance starting now?

Shanda,
This article was exactly what I needed to jump back into working on my business! Thank you:)
Whooo hoooo – go for it. One focus one completion then move on to the next!
Hey there, You’ve done a great job. I’ll certainly digg it and personally recommend
to my friends. I am sure they’ll be benefited from this web site.
Thank you!
Love this! Thank you! Oh and I started to only book appointments in the afternoon as well and it totally helps!
It helps doesn’t it? You can really get productive!
Shanda,
What an inspirational and appropriate blog this morning. I’ve already got my 5 things for my business this week listed. A more affordable completion of my site, which I am modeling after one that is very successful, and to continue my relationship with a new joint venture partner are at the top. The trip to London is way out of my comfort zone- I’ve never had a passport, nor been out of the country. It will be good for me
Hope to be back with you in September.
Teresa! You’ve got to stick with the things you begin otherwise you are not going to get the results that you want! Tuff Love – Shanda
I will finish the children story which had left pending for the last one week tonigt.
PERFECT Irene!
I love the way you encourage me to keep it simple and trust. I feel a shift happening now and I am focused on holding on to it instead of running away. Thanks for being such a great example of a woman living her gift
Rebecca it is my pleasure! It’s not easy to trust for me but knowing that GOD has my back gives me strength.
Spot on and inspiring advice Shanda. When I’m spinning my wheels, it’s almost always a sign that I’m not creating the space to be creative. Advice heard. Implementing now.
That’s one to post on your wall Cindy! Big hug – Shanda
